Single Origin Roasters (Sydney)

Autumn Hash – Mushrooms, Cavelo Nero and Poached Hens Egg on Sourdough

The Aftermath

Are you like us when we travel – always heading back to your favourite haunts each time you visit the place? R and I are like that with the places we travel to often. In Hong Kong we always have a sunset dinner overlooking the harbour from Kowloon to Hong Kong at Hutong. join the line to have a bowl of Beef Curry Noodles at Kau Kee or have Dim Sum at Luk Yu Tea House. When in Sydney we most definitely head to Bills at Surry Hills (touristy I know, but I can’t help it!), Bourke Street Bakery (my absolute must-go bakery, wish there was one in Singapore! thankfully I got their cookbook :)) and there’s Single Origin Roasters (SOR), our new found breakfast haunt. Despite a no. of hiccups we encountered (flaky pple) and the crazy traffic (when did Bali become so crowded?) – explains the sigh of ‘Hai…’ of this blog post’s title – it was still a great time spent with friends! 🙂

Here are some highlights from the trip: Continue reading

Rose Bud Tea

12 Aug

I have to be totally honest, there is not much else that can make me go *ahhhh* like a cup of Rose Bud Tea (except chicken wings of any kind – that also makes me go *ahhhh* but in a different way). It smells like autumn and makes you feel oh-so-feminine, it’s a tea that truly lifts you up when you are feeling down and definitely won’t keep you up in bed (for the caffeine-intolerant like me) – so is perfect for sipping just before you hit the sack!
